Description
This error message is displayed while the program is loading.
Common reason for this error
This can happen when the Windows security permissions on the folder where the program is installed are too restrictive. When the permissions do not allow for Full Control or Modify, Read & Execute, Read and Write then the program may not open correctly.
Troubleshooting tip
To resolve the issue, please review the permissions assigned to the folder and change the settings to allow full-level access or to allow modify, read & execute, read and write permissions.

Error message
Missing data provider or data packet
Description
This error message is displayed while the program is loading, or when you are accessing the list of client files to open.
Common reason for this error
During startup, this can happen when the file midas.dll is not registered on your system. When you are accessing your list of client files, this can happen when a client file is corrupted.
Troubleshooting tip
To resolve the issue at startup, see Troubleshooting Operation Not Applicable. To resolve the issue with the list of clients, follow the instructions below.
  1. Click “OK” on “Missing Data Provider” message if it is still displayed.
  2. Go to File/Open Existing Client Window in Methuselah and look through the list of existing clients.
  3. If you find Client File with unknown “Modified Date”, this client probably does not exist in Methuselah Client Files Folder and you need to delete it from “Open Existing Clients” window. However, before deleting:
  4. Navigate to Methuselah “Client Files” folder.
  5. If you find this client, save a copy outside of directory folder and delete the original.
  6. If you do not find client file with “Unknown Modified Date” in “Open Existing Clients” Window, your Methuselah Client Files folder probably has one or more damaged client files. To identify these files:
  7. Navigate to Methuselah Client Files Folder
  8. Look for client files with 0 KB size or unusualy low KB size
  9. If you find such clients, make a copy, save it outside of directory folder and delete the original.
  10. Close and re-open Methuselah.
  11. If the error message continues to appear, contact Customer Support and arrange to email the damaged client file (if available) and the file named checkoutlist.cds for repairs.
