Example
Error message
Class not registered or Operation Not Applicable
Description
Class not registered or Operation Not Applicable is displayed when you launch the program.
Common reason for this error
This issue typically occurs if Midas.dll is not registered on your computer, or if an incompatible version of Midas.dll is registered on your computer. In order to run Methuselah, version 6.0.6.163 of Midas.dll must be registered on your computer. This version of Midas.dll is included in your copy of the program. In most cases Midas.dll is automatically registered during the installation process, however in some cases it needs to registered manually.

  1. Open the folder where Methuselah is installed. By default this is c:\program files\methuselah mvp.
  2. Find the file named Reg.bat.
  3. Double-click on this file to register Midas.dll.

Error message
EMLaunch.exe - Common Language Runtime Debugging Services
Description
This message is displayed when you launch the program.
Common reason for this error
This issue typically occurs when the program is launched by directly double-clicking on emlaunch.exe or methuselah.exe located in the program installation folder, instead of selecting the shortcut located on your system desktop or in the Programs menu. Less common reasons for this issue are that the program file "emlaunch.exe" is corrupted.
Troubleshooting tip
To resolve this issue, you need to launch the program by selecting the shortcut on your system desktop or Programs menu. If this shortcut is missing or corrupted, you can manually create a new program shortcut. If the error persists, try the following:
  1. Go to c:\program files\methuselah mvp or the folder where the program is installed if in a different location.
  2. Search this folder for a file named EMLaunch.NEW. If you find this file then the automatic update for EMLaunch.exe was not installed correctly. To complete the update process, delete the file named "EMLaunch.exe", then rename "EMLaunch.NEW" so that it is now "EMLaunch.exe".
  3. Run Methuselah.
